Vacancy on the Committee

To comply with the WSS constitution the branch should have a minimum four principle committee members who should be full members of the WSS. At present, since David Oldham’s resignation from the post we have no Honorary Branch Secretary. David has left the post with a full provisional programme already in place for 2024. Any prospective applicant would have the support to pick up the reigns from David. Please give give serious thought to putting your name forward.

Annual Branch Solent Cruise

Due to financial pressures the branch has teamed up with the Thames Ship Society (TSS) for this years branch cruise. Both our branch and the TSS made significant losses running these trips last year. If the 2024 cruise again makes a significant loss then it may well be the last one we are able to run. Please support the cruise - remember friends and family are also most welcome.

COVID 19

COVID is hopefully a thing of the past but still out there but should you feel vulnerable attending our meetings or have any concerns please bring this to the attention of any committee member.

For any Interested Party

The Chairman has his sights on downsizing - therefore there are Marine News mostly bound available up to the time MN went digital from 1960.
